We all know how important exercise is for our physical and mental health.

 

In an effort to reduce the common barriers of: cost, timing, lock in contracts and fear of gyms; there are a number of free programs run through the suburbs of the Gold Coast.

So, grab a friend and give some of these a go.

Distance: 5km

Coombabah Lake Reserve

Activities: Cycling and walking, bird watching

Ability: Any fitness - mostly flat with gravel paths and boardwalks the whole way

Summer Camp Kids

Hiking in Springbrook

Ability: Any fitness. There are 9 tracks with distances ranging from 700m to 20km. The shorter walks are easily accessible for wheelchairs
